Introducing: Sliced Bread

Thursday, May 24th, 2007

I can’t even begin to express how often I come across cool stuff that just grabs my attention for the moment, so I’ve decided to start a column devoted to some of the coolest things since sliced bread.

Not that sliced bread is that cool. I mean, I wouldn’t exactly consider the person that decided to cut bread a genius, but it’s a valid expression none the less.

So without further adieu, I present to you Sliced Bread…

Why Gmail Rocks!

Honestly, I don’t put too much thought into choosing a free-mail service. Other than mailbox size and user interface, I could care less. Until now…

Reasons to use Gmail:

  1. Super sp@m blocking
  2. Organizes messages into conversations
  3. Easily find messages through integrated search
  4. Built-in chat features
  5. Cool videos that explain everything!

Don’t take my word for it; check out “Gmail Theater: Why use Gmail?”

Where have you been?

Thursday, May 24th, 2007

I know it’s been a while since my last post, so here’s a little update regarding what I’ve been doing the last month.

  • Washers for Wellness 2007
This year’s washer’s tournament was the largest ever. We had 108 teams and organizing it took up most of my spare time.
  • KelleyFurniture.com
What little extra time I had over the last month was devoted to the complete re-design for one of my clients Kelley Furniture.
  • TriviaForWellness.com
Ok, so I had a couple hours to spare and decided this site needed a serious refresh. Plus, we are getting close to this event, so the site needs to look good.
  • St. Louis Hills Dental Group
This site desperately needed a quick straightening up. So I squeezed a little time in to clean it up. I’m glad I did, because now this is one of my favorite designs.
  • TannerHobin.com
Oh, and I loaded this cool new theme for the blog a while back. Hope you like it. If not too bad, it’s here to stay. Thanks WPDesigner!

New columns and posts are in the works, so check back when you feel like it.
