iPhone: Ultimate Parenting Tool
Posted on April 17th, 2008 under Personal
Granted my daughter Madeline Grace is only 2 weeks and 2 days old, I’ve already come to rely heavily on my iPhone for parenting. Here’s a brief list of tasks accomplished thus far:
- Text friends notifying them of Madeline’s arrival.
- Call family notifying them of Madeline’s arrival.
- Email friends and family pictures of Maddie.
- Sooth a fussy Maddie with Bob Marley and DMB.
- Show off pictures of Maddie.
- Show off our family website.
- Monitor feeding times
- Check the weather to see if it’s ok to take Maddie for a walk.
- Get directions to the pediatrician.
- Call my new daughter.

I’m a search marketing, social media and web development professional from St. Louis, MO. Aside from the aforementioned, I enjoy home brewing, charity work, studying history and anything related to technology.

@Kristen, thank you so much! She’s amazing, and partially the reason SMCSTL.com has not yet been updated.

There’s an application that will let you record video on the iPhone and e-mail it to people……but the only catch is you have to jailbreak it first :/
Hopefully the 2.0 software will let people. I’m sure one of the SDK apps this June will offer it.

Hey Tanner,
Congrats on the baby girl. She looks amazing. I have a boy on the way (3 weeks!) and am getting pretty nervous now.
